Terms & Conditions including Refund and Cancellation Policy for Entries:

WITHDRAWAL POLICY – SHOWS

Withdrawals for online bookings for shows will only be made if sent by email to admin@goldencrossec.com up until 7 days before the event date. These will then be refunded as a credit on the account or a refund back to the card but will not include the booking fee which is paid to our online entry agents. Credits on the account can be used at future events at Golden Cross run by the team, please contact us via email when you would like to use it. Withdrawals made after the 7 days before the booked date will not be credited unless a hospital or vet certificate is issued and sent via email.

ARENA HIRE CANCELLATION

Arena hire cancellation – if you are unable to attend your hire slot please contact us via email admin@goldencrossec.com at least 24 hours before hire time, a refund or transfer can then be arranged. If you cancel after 24 hours before the hire slot, a refund or transfer can not be made. If payment has not been settled before the hire and you cancel after 24 hours before the hire slot, you will be asked to pay the full hire fee.

CLINIC/ SHOW/ EVENT CANCELLATION

With a busy calendar our venue holds limited dates for events to be booked. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least one month before your scheduled clinic/ show/ event. This will allow us to offer your spot to another. Please email admin@goldencrossec.com to cancel. If you cancel after one month before your scheduled clinic/ show or event you are required to pay 50% of the final total. (For clinics you will be required to pay for the hourly arena hire charge for the hours booked).

PHOTOGRAPHY

Please be aware that our photographer (PDG Event Photography) attends our events. Images taken at these events are uploaded to their website to view and purchase. The images may also be uploaded to Facebook when sold for social media or used to promote the event and may be used in magazines and local papers. By entering or attending our events you are deemed to accept this, however if you wish not to have your photo taken please inform the organisers and the photographers on the day.

ARENA & VENUE HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • When hiring facilities/ arenas at Golden Cross Equestrian Centre the hirer is responsible for conducting their own risk assessments. Golden Cross EC cannot be held responsible for, incidents, accidents, injuries, theft, or damage to vehicles whatsoever.
  • It is the responsibility of the hirer to have adequate insurance including public liability.
  • It is the responsibility of the hirer and any other attendees to adhere to Golden Cross EC’s general rules and regulations.
  • Any damage to our arenas, property and equipment must be repaired/ replaced or paid for in full by the hirers. All breakages must be reported to a Golden Cross staff member.
  • When you arrive please let us know you are here and pay in full if you have not already.
  • If you are on your own, emergency contact details need to be left with the office, but you are advised to bring an additional person in case of an accident.
  • All litter and droppings MUST be removed.
  • Strictly no smoking in arenas.
  • Under no circumstances are horses to be let loose, lunged, or loose schooled in the arenas.
  • Hirers must stick to allocated time slots so they do not interfere with any other bookings.
  • Children under 16 years old must always be supervised by an appropriate adult.
  • Use of the arena is at hirers risk. All hirers are advised to check arena and equipment before entering to ensure it has been left in a safe condition by the previous occupant.
  • No mucking out into our lorry parks. Any droppings made in the lorry parks must be cleared.
  • All instructors using Golden Cross EC facilities must have their own insurance cover, child protection certificate and first aid training for providing tuition and may be asked to issue a copy to Golden Cross EC.
  • Riding hats, with a correctly fitted chin strap, to current British Standard Skull Caps/ Riding Hats Nos PAS015, EN1384 (USA) ASTMF1163 which meet current Safety Standards MUST be worn at all times when mounted (and advised at other times when handling horses). No exceptions under any circumstances.
  • Strictly no dogs in the arenas, if brought they must be kept on leads and cleaned up after.
  • All horse vaccinations must be up to date.
